If you ever wondered who your most loyal readers are at all times, now you can find out with the
Top Commentators WordPress Plugin by Daily Blog Tips. Once you install this Plugin you check your commentator stats from within your WordPress admin Dashboard.
The cool thing is that you can actually see an emerging pattern or not about your most active commentators by looking at various time frames such as:
- Last year
- This year
- Last month
- This month
- Last 7 days
- Yesterday
- And today
This could be ideal for bloggers who would like to single out a commentator and thank them specifically once a month, or else you could buddy up with them since you seem to share the same interests for joint ventures.

The
Website Traffic Series will try to cover all the traffic generation strategies available, so some of them might not apply to blogs necessarily. This one, for instance, is geared towards people that have static websites, like a company or business site. Even if you are a blogger, however, you might need to create a static website in the future, or to do consulting for a company that has one, so I think you could still benefit from knowing the different angles of this technique.
The Concept: Blogs revolutionized the Web for several reasons. First of all, the appearance of blogging specific software like WordPress or Movable Type, as well as the free hosted solutions like Blogger, enabled pretty much anyone (even people with zero knowledge of HTML) to create their own website and to share with the world their ideas and knowledge.
Secondly, blogs introduced features like comments and trackbacks that allowed users to interact with each other more efficiently. What before used to be a monologue (from the few websites that published information) became a conversation where blogs, websites, authors and readers all interacted and shared their thoughts.

WordPress has an “import” function that you can use to transfer all your blog posts, pages, comments, users and even tags to a new WordPress blog on a different domain. You can find this function under
Manage > Import > Import WordPress
You probably won’t need to do this ever, but in my case when I decided to rebrand
NetworkRevolution.org to
MLMRenegade.net I had to use this function because:
- I’ve done it before and I know it’s easy
- You can choose to automatically import images and other attachments from your old blog to your new one, and the actual path to these files will also be updated
- It maintains every post and comments on the posts exactly as you’d want them to be
This time around however I got this error message:

I have always fancied my chances with tools and widgets which make blogging fun and easy. Bloggers who post regularly on professional blogs wish to concentrate more on the content for its freshness and readability, apart from being informative ofcourse. Based on my personal experience, we tend to spend more time in finding great images, links, tags, etc to support our post and make it more appealing. Had it not been great if your browser could understand what you are blogging about and suggested you pictures, articles, links and tags to make your posts more vibrant?
Be glad! With the advent of this smart firefox-IE-wordpress addon, such an assistance is at your disposal. Think of some valuable suggestions in context with your article you’re writing on the blog’s editor. It would save you a lot of time that is generally spent looking out for related content over the internet.

While looking for a new theme for my
personal blog, I happened to stumble on The Unstandard Wordpress Theme by
Derek. Unlike several hundred themes which we might come across in a month, this particular theme caught my attention and hence deserves a review!
The Unstandard WordPress theme is distinguished from the typical WP themes. In Derek’s words:
Farewell to the blase reverse chronological text heavy front pages, and hello to visuals & imagery to lure visitors deeper into your website / blog.

I am glad to release the third WordPress plugin by Daily Blog Tips.
My Top Commentators is a plugin that allows a blogger to discover who are the most active commentators on his blog (via the WordPress Dashboard, so other people will not see this information). You can also use different time frames for this, so you can see the top commentators:
- Today
- Yesterday
- Last 7 days
- This month
- Last month
- This year
- Last year
Secondly, you can also see all the comments left by a single person, and edit or delete them via the plugin interface.

Martin Kaba of Kabatology released a new WordPress theme that looks very clean and neat. It is called
Ndomche Summary Theme and I’d love to know whether this word has actually any meaning. Martin left a comment on my
Silk Theme post and alerted me to his new release. So I went to have a look and liked what I saw.
As many of you already know, I really like clean WordPress themes. They are so light and carry no baggage, which also makes them fast loading I guess. Plus, a white theme is so easy to make your own. It’s like a blank canvas for a painter.
The Ndomche Summary Theme is built on WordPress 2.5. This means that you are advised to upgrade before using this theme if you haven’t already done so. It is a grid based CSS styling theme that will also show your Gravatars without having to do any customizations. Martin has released the theme under the GNU/GPL license and asks that you leave the footer link intact.
The Ndomche Summary Theme has a massive banner in the left hand side bar which could ideally be used to market an affiliate product. I’m thinking niche marketing with a special product here.
