Do you have moments of total inspiration when everything falls into place and your blog writing just flows? I bet you do, we all do at some stage or another. But unless you can take advantage of this without losing unnecessary time, you will have to go back into your WordPress admin and publish the posts a few days later.
Not so with the timestamp feature. Instead of saving a draft post and then having to go back to publish you can stager future posts at your peril.
This is especially useful when you are going on holidays. Instead of worrying about keeping up with your publishing schedule, why not prepare some posts ahead of time and then publish them to be released every other day, or whatever your posting schedule might be.

You can find this feature in the right hand side of your posting screen. Just change the date to a future date and the adjust the time if you like and then hit publish. If you forget to click on publish it will only save the post as a draft and unless you go in manually and click edit, then publish it won’t be live.

WordPress is the most popular blogging platform, and I know many Daily Blog Tips readers use WordPress to power their own blogs. As a WordPress user, I enjoy reading about the platform and staying up-to-date with news from the WordPress community. The great thing about WordPress is the endless possibilities that it allows, and by reading from other users and designers there is plenty of information available on just about any topic you can think of.
If you’re looking for technical documentation or support, the
codex and
forums are usually the first place to look. However, I would like to share some blogs and websites that provide a good amount of WP-related content that I think you will appreciate. Whether you are a theme designer/developer or a blogger who is looking to get more out of WordPress, visit some of these sites and see for yourself.

I found this very good video on how to create a MySQL database for your
WordPress blog. The video walks you through the setup of your database and how to add a user to it.
Then it goes into the setting up of your config.php file and what you have to do to upload your WordPress software to the server.
I know many new bloggers who first buy their own hosting are confused about this whole system. The guy in the video really did a great job of explaining how you can do this.
Check it out.

Affiliate marketing is a great way to make money blogging, but with all the different monetization models and all the different theme out there today it’s more difficult than ever to find what you need. That’s why when developing the
Super Affiliate WordPress Theme, I had only one group of people in mind -
the blogger cum affiliate marketer.
The
Super Affiliate WordPress Theme is more flexible and ideal for affiliate marketers who get traffic from more than one source, especially via
Google AdWords or other PPC (Pay Per Click) ads.
If you’re getting free
search engine traffic or
social bookmarking traffic (from
StumbleUpon for example) you can be more relaxed as to where that traffic ends up. In a typical blog layout, a single visitor might get to the content page, but before getting to the end of the content there are so many other links, sidebars, ads and other distractions that they can click on. This means that the
ability to tunnel traffic to perform a single action (subscribe, buy, opt-in) is severely limited.

60 Creatively unusual WordPress blog designs that are a little bit more distinctive from the regular ones.
WordPress 2.5 did give us some useful improvements, however I feel that the
widgets became much harder to use, and I think most people would agree with me.
This screen shows the way widgets used to . All you need to do is select the widget and move it across any available sidebars to arrange them, or simple drop it back into the placeholder at the bottom to remove the widget from your blog. Pretty simple to understand, fun to use.

But with WordPress 2.5 this becomes a 3-step process which is not only confusing, it’s also much harder and no fun at all.
