If you ever wondered who your most loyal readers are at all times, now you can find out with the
Top Commentators WordPress Plugin by Daily Blog Tips. Once you install this Plugin you check your commentator stats from within your WordPress admin Dashboard.
The cool thing is that you can actually see an emerging pattern or not about your most active commentators by looking at various time frames such as:
- Last year
- This year
- Last month
- This month
- Last 7 days
- Yesterday
- And today
This could be ideal for bloggers who would like to single out a commentator and thank them specifically once a month, or else you could buddy up with them since you seem to share the same interests for joint ventures.

Not so long ago I wrote about a
killer new stats system that will get you addicted. This post is to follow up and tell you a little more, since when I wrote the last post I have been accepted (finally) and am on my best way to become totally addicted to Woopra. I want to show you how much information is to be gained from their application and what it can do to help you rank better in the search engines.
So let’s get into it and see what this baby does for us. First of, it is always great to know who refers traffic to us so that we can go and say thank you were applicable plus see where our efforts to get traffic pay off.

Under
My Referrers you will be able to see how much traffic you got from a referrer, who sent you the most traffic and a nice nifty graphic which indicates the portion of search engine traffic to your blog.

What is the difference between a CMS (content management system) and a Wiki?
In a nutshell:
Both are web based applications/software designed to allow many people to contribute content (typically articles … but podcast and videos are becoming more common) to a website.
I would say the basic difference is that a CMS (Ex: Drupal) is a closed system where only certain people can add or edit content to the website/cms.

A comprehensive list of more than 13 online tools that can help you figure out what your competitors are doing and how they are doing it.
Welcome to the third video blog review on Daily Blog Tips. This is another one focused on the design and layout aspects.
The Boomer Chronicles uses a very common blog template, so I am sure new bloggers will find this one useful. I think the quality of the image improved a bit on this one also.
If you don’t have time to watch the video, here are the main points I covered:
- The header will quite good. It has a customized image that gives a mood to the whole blog, and it also has a clear tagline to explain to first time visitors what the blog is about quickly.
- The name of the blog and the domain are not matching, which might confuse some visitors. If the blog is has been using that name for a long time, though, it would not be a good idea to change it now, so its just a point to keep in mind.
- Full posts are being displayed on the homepage. Usually I prefer only post excerpts, but since the entries are short posts most of the times, full posts are OK on that case.
- Personally I would remove the social bookmarking icons from appearing in all the posts. Given that the content is formed mostly from the opinions and daily activities of the author, I am not sure how effective it is to promote them on social media. If once in a while there is a suitable post, the author can always insert those icons individually.
- The main category is still called “Uncategorized.” This gives the impression that it was neglected. It would be a good idea to name it something else, like General Stuff.
- There are no links to the single categories on the sidebar. This is necessary to give the users the option to navigation the categories individually.
- It would be essential to add an RSS icon on the homepage as well. Right now it is no where to be found.
- The Archives section are taking too much space on the sidebar, and perhaps a drop-down box would accomplish the same task using less space.
- The always common Meta section at the bottom of the sidebar is present here as well, and I always say it would be a good idea to remove it cause it has no value to the visitor whatsoever.

The rationale behind the recent redesign of the Positive Space Blog.
Welcome to the first Daily Blog Tips video post. It has been a long time since the idea of playing with videos came into my mind, and now I am finally up with the first one. I am aware that the quality needs to get improved, but if you guys like the format it might become a weekly feature on the blog. Apart from blog reviews I will try to to tutorials and how-to videos as well.
On this first blog review I will cover the design and layout aspects of
FavBrowser.com, a blog coming from one of our readers (I asked his permission to review it).
In future reviews we will cover different aspects, like search engine optimization, content quality, promotion strategy and so on. If you took the time to watch the video, please let me know if you would like to see more of them, and if you have any suggestions for topics or formats.
If for some reason you can’t see the video player, here is the link for the YouTube page:

AdSense have today
rolled out their new(ish) Ad Review Center for all AdSense publishers. I’m happy about this as I was in this last batch of publishers to see it.
The idea behind the Ad Review Center is that when advertisers target your specific blog you now can see that they’re targeting it and can approve or ban and ad depending on whether you want it to appear on your site or not. This gives you more control over the ads that appear on your site.
Note - this is only for ads targeted to your site (ie general AdSense ads that are contextually placed on your site are not included).
Also keep in mind that when you remove an ad you could be decreasing the profitability of your site as it removes the ad from the ‘auction’ that happens between Advertisers to have their ad appear on your blog.

Affiliate marketing is a great way to make money blogging, but with all the different monetization models and all the different theme out there today it’s more difficult than ever to find what you need. That’s why when developing the
Super Affiliate WordPress Theme, I had only one group of people in mind -
the blogger cum affiliate marketer.
The
Super Affiliate WordPress Theme is more flexible and ideal for affiliate marketers who get traffic from more than one source, especially via
Google AdWords or other PPC (Pay Per Click) ads.
If you’re getting free
search engine traffic or
social bookmarking traffic (from
StumbleUpon for example) you can be more relaxed as to where that traffic ends up. In a typical blog layout, a single visitor might get to the content page, but before getting to the end of the content there are so many other links, sidebars, ads and other distractions that they can click on. This means that the
ability to tunnel traffic to perform a single action (subscribe, buy, opt-in) is severely limited.
